Our club brewed 50 gallons of beer at Jason's today. We had over 50% of members present. Our only problem was old ladies looking for a garage sale. Ray suggested that I sell myself, but I am sure they would not take my price. Dean, Ray and a friend, Mark and Jason, John, and Richard and I (with a brief attendance by Eric) brewed. The food was great; the beers shared were great, the camaraderie was fantastic Doug came over for support and a cigar from me. It was a nice afternoon. The beer that Richard and I brewed excelled my expectations, giving us the highest yield I have had in a system for 15 gallons (we boiled off over two gallons).

yes it was a great day and those old lady's are ruthless for a garage sale. My beer is still bubbling away, I lost a false bottom "Raybo" and two down spouts "Dean" that I will get back at thurs. meeting. I want to brew a beer and put it on the yeast cake from this one if I can find the time, it will be a hodge podge of grains and hops I punched into Q-brew it should be a darker 9% I'm calling it a winter warmer...
Dean mentioned at the brew in if using wheat you don't need Irish moss or at least you get the same effect I believe it was because of the proteins I'm going to use some in this next beer also

John C. I have your glass, towel, and .40 oz. of your hops; I will bring Thursday. Richard and I brewed 15 gallons with an 85% extraction efficiency, the highest I have done on a big beer (except in my 5 gallon system). I'm learning how to utilize the systems the club uses. See everyone Thursday.
