My name's Nick and I'm new to the Beaumont, TX area. I just recently became interested in home-brewing and found this group in a quick Google search. I was hoping I could join and benefit from all your experience . Are there any dues/forms that I need to pay/complete in order to join? You can reply to this message or email me at [e-mail] ... PS, A little about me:

I'm 29 years old, enjoy drinking beer, vegetable gardening, fishing, and cycling.

Favorite current beer (it changes frequently): St. Arnold's Amber ale.
Favorite Fall beer: Punkin Ale by Dogfish Head
Favorite Winter beer: 1554 by New Belgium
Favorite Spring beer: Mardi Gras Festbier by Heiner Brau
Favorite Summer Beer: Abita's Strawberry Ale

And I'm excited about learning home-brewing techniques/recipes!

You are more than welcome to come to one of our club functions and see what its all about the next club meeting is in Louisianna this time Thursday march 10th around 7pm at the home of Ronnie 142 Red Rose Dr. Sulphur, LA 70665 we all try to bring some beer/wine/mead/spirits to share and taste and something to snack on "cheese/crackers, meat for the grill, ect." and a tasteing glass and im sure we could find someone close to you to carpool with, where do you live? well hope to see you there. Awesome, thanks! I live in Beaumont, TX which I believe is about 40 minutes west of Sulphur, LA (I don't mind the drive, and can drive others if need be ... although I probably won't be staying long as I am a morning person and try to get to bed early, haha). I'll plan on bringing some kind of meat for the grill. I don't have any homebrews to bring along yet (still too new to homebrewing, but I hope to get there eventually), but I can bring a 6-pack of some good craft beers that I enjoy and am sure can be appreciated by others as well .

Thanks again for the invite, and I'll see y'all there on the 10th. If you're between Beaumont and Sulphur feel free to send me a message if you need a carpool (and don't mind not staying out late).
