Hi all, I found what seems to be a really easy mead recipe that I thought even I could try to brew while I'm waiting for my brewing supplies to come in through the mail. Has anybody ever tried this recipe? It looks like it got good reviews. www.stormthecastle.com/mead/fast-cheap-mead-making.htmHere's what it looked like an hour after getting all ingredients added (notice, I put a twist-tie over the balloon ... I heard stories of it coming off and wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen): Here it is when I woke up this morning, about 12 hours from the start: So, has anybody ever tried this quick and easy method? What do you think I can expect as far as taste goes? Regardless, it's fun to know that I have something brewing now .

Thanks for the reply Bbushmaster ... I get the feeling there aren't too many folks using these forums, so any insight at all is appreciated, haha. I'll have to try and bring the topic up at y'all's next meeting in March to see if anybody has some more experience with mead.
Speaking of which, I heard that there was a Mardi Gras club event March 5th prior to the March 10th meeting? I was wondering if I could attend and if so the specifics of the get-together.
Thanks again! Nick
