It's at Roberts. 10 lbs of grain for all members participating. In reading the minutes, I find that Richard & I will crush grains for members participating. Ok with me, but we may leave some un-crushed and bring a mill for remainder. At the last meeting I found the following teams: Richard & Eric 20lbs Bob & Dean 20 lbs Ray & Nick 20 lbs Ira & Ronnie 20 lbs Doug & non-member 10 lbs others expected: Jason 10 lbs Mark & John 20 lbs Corey? ? We will crush most of the grains, and I will bring a mill to crush those we do not crush. We have 3 bags of 2-row malt, 2 of high enzyme American pilsner malt and 1 of lower enzyme British ale malt. If you are brewing a British ale (like Doug's red ale), we will give you preference to at least half of the British ale malt. Otherwise, we will split the grains as convenient.

October 7th is the brew in. Nick and I were talking tonight and that was the date. Doug, John, Nick and I were drinking Jester King's stout. OMG. A great beer. The mystery beer tonight was 512's Pale Ale. I didn't try it. Jester King was enough.

So the event that you were talking about at MLG is on October 7, freeing you up for the GTHBC brew-in for May 7 then? If so what's your email address and I'll send you the two recipes I've found (or you can send me one that you would prefer) and we can start getting things worked out. Oh, and that stout was incredible ... I'm glad I didn't order the larger serving, hahaha.

Ray: You obviously had a good time with the beers available, but you missed the date of the next brew-in. It is May 7, not October 7.

I still haven't heard from Ray, so it looks like I'll be brewing alone. Seeing as how the Brew-In is only a week and a day away, I'll be ordering grain for a 5-gallon batch on Monday unless I hear from Ray before then.

Ray: call me at 409-338-9436 or email me at njschmidt@gmail.com if you read this before Monday (5/2/11).

Sorry Nick. I knew I had something to do that day. Deb and I had plans for the Crab Festival. Hope you had fun brewing.
