Dear AHA, BA and Support Your Local Brewery Members,
Thanks to your active support, House Bill 602, allowing small brewers to provide a limited amount of beer to consumers for off the brewery premises consumption at the conclusion of a tour, passed the Texas House of Representatives unanimously today.
The bill now moves to the Senate, so keep an eye out for a future call to action when another vote is scheduled.
Thanks again for your support of Texas small brewers and beer drinkers.

Thank you for supporting House Bill 602.

Calling legislators is easy. A staffer will answer the phone. Tell the staffer your name and where you're from and tell him/her that you're calling to urge Senator/Representative to support the bill. He/she will thank you for your call and that's it. There's nothing to it. It will only take you a minute or two, but it makes all the difference.

Support is still needed for HB 660, which allows brewerys to also operate brewpubs. Corey says he will open one in Jefferson County if that passes. This bill puts Texas on a par with states like New Hampshere where Dogfish trys out new beers on a small level in there brewpub before moving to National shipping, including to Texas. Call your representatives and senators and encourage this bill.
