I talked with Jason at the crawfish party about the current web-site. He expressed concerns that he could not modify some pages that should be available to club members only. Today, while at MD Anderson clinic with my wife, I loged on to this site. Without signing in, I could get to info that only club members should see. This is a great site, with a lot of protection. Apparently that protection has been ellimanated. What is the staus of giving us more protection (a new site, which we have paid for). Proboards has that protection, but our admistrators apparently do not no how to correct current problems. Jason and I agree that club minutes, members addresses, economic data, should not be available to the masses. We need to discuss this at the next meeting

I own 2 websites, one a more DIY style (www.solaraddict.net) and the other a pro style (www.mooresolarllc.com). Check out the solaraddict site, I think that site which uses wordpress and the forums are phpBB would be great for you guys and easy enough for someone that isnt a web designer. For about 35 bucks a year you can have your domain name (www.gthc.com or whatever) and hosting.

seniordean: for more than a year our knowledgeable members have been working on our web site with a club purchased name. Little action has occurred. Maybe you can help us. Show up at the next meeting when we discuss. Publishing this on the forum is not my desire, but the site leaves no option to make it available to only members. Thanks.

I hope I can make the the meeting. My day trade is HVAC and its the busy time of year. I will though hopefully make it as I really would like to join the club, no pun intended lol. None the less Ill see what I can put together and let you guys check it out.

Busy time of year for me but I through up a quick forums. Check it out and throw out any suggestions or comments. If you register on it you will see the hidden members only area after I put you as club member rather than normal forums member. Thank you for trying. However, while I'm sure that your efforts are appreciated, please take your board down. We already have 2 websites and right now we don't need 3. I think you can even get to the old MSN board. We allegedly have some secret invitation only Facebook page floating around here too. We can discuss that at the meeting and make a decision on Thursday. We don't need another place for people to start posting. Whatever we do, we need to come up with a plan to transition all the traffic to one place and not do anything until then.
