I took notes at the last meeting since Jason could not make it. One item not discussed was member’s results in the KGB Old Ale competition. I talked with Eric on the way to Beaumont and we agreed this was not a good competition to enter. Dean is the only one who advanced to the second round (about 150 beers entered), and 2 bottles from each brewer were drunk by another club.
I apologize for the incomplete notes and hope all will recognize Jason for the job he does for the club.
GTHC meeting called to order at 7:27 on June 9, 2011 by Eric.
Good attendance and 4-5 guests (one 2 times participation – at least)
Announcements: Ira announced an event in Lake Charles, Ira please post more info on site.
Cigars and more event announced by quest, I ask him to post.
Corey has his license for Cornell Brewery, good to see Corey back.
Treasurer’s report; not published on open site.
Ron-de Brew discussed with little enthusiasm.
New business: Larry accepted into the club with no opposition.
July meeting at Mark’s
August meeting at Ray’s
September meeting at Ronnie’s
Mark offered his house for a summer club party – contingent on Susan’s approval - for August 13.
Fall brew-in scheduled at Richard’s on Oct. 15.
At 7:58 the meeting was closed with a beer brewed by Mikey, celebrating deceased members.
