This is my 2nd attempt to provide limited minutes for the last meeting. When I did so previously (more timely), a spell check deleted my post (site needs work).
Meeting at Ronnie's was attended by Mark, John, Dean, Ray, Richard, Bob, Ira, Ronnie, and a new member whose name I can't remember. Also present was a guest, a member of the Good Time Brewers. Due to the fact that our club has grown to 22 members, a quorum was not present, and an official meeting could not be held. (Look for my recommendation to correct this problem on this site and at the next meeting).
Good and bad (my freezed beer) beers were enjoyed as well as spirits, provided by Ira.
Club members brought about 6 entries (entree fee payed by the club) to the Cajun Contest in Lake Charles (part of the beer event in Lake Charles). Richard brought samples of the Red ale the club helped him to brew, and a rye beer that he brewed by himself (call me next time Richard) that he is offering to the club. Members present suggested the rye beer for our Christmas party and the Red Ale for the event in Lake Charles.
Ray gave a description of the various weekends for Renaissance Festival. I do not remember any day selected.
Since there was no secretary report, we were unsure about where the next meeting would be held. Mark volunteer as a back-up. In looking at the minutes from the last two meetings, I believe we failed to pick a location for October. If this is your meeting, please post; otherwise it is at Mark's.
We talked about a date for the fall brew-in at Richard's. Suggested was the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
I seem to member that other things were discussed and will modify this post if I remember them.
We close the meeting with a Micky beer and toasted him and Kyle.
