At the September meeting at Ronnie's, we had 8 of 10 regular attendees, but we could not conduct club business because our club has grown to 22 members, some we may never see again.
I want to propose changes to our by-laws on attendance that qualifies for an official meeting. We may have handicaped the club on voting on this issue or ever having an official meeting.
My proposal:
Club officers will consider member's attendance during the last 2 years (or 3 OK) and select 10 regular members. If at least 6 (maybe 7) of those members are present, an official meeting can be held. The club officers can add up to three long term members, but not regular attendees, who would serve as alternates to reach the 60% (70%) number.
The selection of the 10 is easy; Mark, John, Jason, Eric, Richard, Dean, Ray, Bob, Ira, & Ronnie. Long term members no longer fully active shoud include Doug, Robert, Corey, and Joe.
