I live in Beaumont and just started brewing with a friend of mine. Neither of us have brewed before, so we are looking for a group to help us learn more about the art of brewing the beverage that is so close to our hearts. What can you tell us about your club?

If you haven't talked to anyone yet...you can call me at 860-5265 and I will be happy to tell you about our club and answer any questions you might have. I live in Beaumont also.

I'll take you up on that. I made a trip to As Is yesterday and got the grains for my next batch. Ira was a wealth of information. I'm looking forward the learning from some folks who know what they are doing.

There are a few of us that live in Beaumont. Our next club meeting is on April 12th in Port Arthur. If you are interested, I can give you the address. We normally start about 6:30 or so. Everyone brings some beer and something for the grill or a snack.

I'm looking forward to meeting y'all. I'm starting to worry about my most recent batch. Brewed on Sunday and still no bubbles. I'm only freaking out a little though.

Glad you plan on brewing with us on National Homebrewers Day. Most new brewers look forward to an all grain brew ( cheaper and more versital). I will be using one of my design that is easy and cheap to duplicate (critical equipment came from the Market Basket dumpster). I think most members would like to see you - and your brew partner - as members of our group.

Dayna,
The Club Brew In for National Homebrewers Day is May 5. There will probably be club members looking for brew partners.
The address is 478 Tower Road in Bridge City.
From Beaumont, take I-10 east to the Hwy 1442/Bridge City exit (mile marker 869) and take a right (south) on Hwy 1442. Go approximately 8 miles. You will see a large Pentecostal Church on the left. As soon as you pass the church, look for Tower Road and take a left. Keep going down Tower until you can't go anymore. It becomes a private road. Keep going, House is all the way down on the right. If you want to come the other way through Port Arthur let me know and I will post those directions. We usually start brewing around 8 - 8:30 and go until eveyone finishes.

Corey,
Glad you are coming. I think all the club systems will be there and the club is buying base grain and adjuncts, which you are entitled to, so be there either way and we can figure it out.
Everyone else,
If you are planning on dropping off equipment at Richard's on Friday, let me know. Nicholas has a game at 5:30, but we will make arrangements for drop offs. Richard is going to be up and going before anyone else wakes up on Saturday so its kind of a moot point.
It's going to be a long day, so let's see if we can coordinate the food so we don't end up with 50 pounds of sausage and no buns or condiments or vice versa. If you are planning on bringing something please post and think about bringing breakfast or snacks. We could use a couple of cases of water too.
