Doug opened the February meeting at 7:37.
John C read the minutes from January’s meeting. Dave made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Mark K seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Dave reported the Treasury had $739.00. There are 9 paid 2007 memberships. Corey made a motion to accept the report. Mike seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Old Business:
1. Saint Arnold’s is having a pub crawl on February 16th. Contact Corey as he has a couple of seats available if you are interested in a ride over and back.
2. For the brew-in it looks like we have interest for 5 batches. Tentative date is either March 24th or 31st. The date is to be determined at the March meeting. The location is Dave’s shop.
3. Summer Party/Crawfish boil was discussed. There is interest by club members to have more of a turn-key affair. Ira and Robert to obtain bids for 250 pounds of crawfish with all of the fixings that will be discussed at the next meeting. Club members would supply boil pots and coolers.
4. The Bluebonnet is scheduled for the last weekend of March.
5. Doug mentioned that the club needs to purchase a couple of vapor locks for the fermenters. The discussion then led to the club purchasing a CO2 bottle and regulator. Mark K made a motion to purchase these materials and Ray seconded. Motion passed.
6. The AHA membership drive is at St. Arnolds on Sunday the 18th. Membership is discounted and you must be a member to drink the free, beer.
March 8th - Doug’s House
April 12th – Mark Kelly’s House
May 11th -- ?
New Business:
1. The contact in formation on the web site is very out of date. A sign up list was circulated and members were asked to update their information. John C will update the site list.
2. Dave will now be bringing one or more growlers of club beer to the monthly meetings for sampling. The club will try and have two or more different styles available for enjoyment at the meetings.
