Well went to the beach today and checked out some locations for the beach bash and I think the best spot will be where Johnny suggested already it is called Rocky's RV park and fishing pier I talked to the two owners (husband and wife) they seem really cool and I don't think we will find a better spot than that there are spaces for trailers with full hook-ups and they said by then they will have a space just for tents and if we can figure out who is all going and what they will be staying in we can get a group rate and with the rental of any kind of parking tent, trailer, or car the pier is included or we can camp on the beach there is stairs leading to the beach here is a link to the site www.rockysrvparkandfishingpier.com/well lets talk

I think that is the best choice also. I had talked to them. Jason, you had been concerned about their pier. What was the condition of the pier? I think this will be a lot of fun. It will be a little warm in June, but we can always jump in the water and play with the sharks.

the pier is not very long, tide was out while I was there and you could cast from the beach further, But they were working on the pier while I was there so by the time we have the beach bash it should be much longer, You could tell that it is a party place there were a bunch of chicks out on the beach playing washers and what not and everybody was drinking a beer including the owners the only problem I saw was there was only a porta potty I really dont care but for the women mite not be too good they charge to use it if your not parked there and it looked clean if that makes a difference P.S. warm in june, bring it on, thats what the water is for and if somebody brings a trailer most of them have a shower on the out side that maybe we could use and play with sharks ( they better watch out for me I eat them before they eat me) ;D P.P.S that is the old school trout hole

I forgot the owners said that during that time of the year the mosquito's are really bad BRING OFF but they said if you stay on the south side of the dunes(the beach) they don't mess with you I figure if tides are running rite we can bring fire wood and camp on the beach fish in the surf for BULLS all night and I no the owners of the R.V. park at rollover they have shower facilities we could probably use there showers I will probably have the family down there with the trailer at the time but I will come down to the pier and camp with yall in my tent

I'm glad some else mentioned the skeeters. They are bad enuf to carry you off if you're not protected by something. But otherwise it sounds great!

I will be on the peir fishing up wind of the skeeters. Now for the tent, here is what I do. When I am in the tent to sleep, I spray flying imsect killer and I am good for the night. I also set a bucket of fresh water outside the tent and I step into the water to rinse my feet and step right into the tent. I guess we can hammer it out at the next meeting.
