I will have a number of motions. If I don't bring these up, feel free to do so.
1. Crawfish Boil. Crawfish are coming down in price. My suggestion is that we set a price for members and one guest, set another price for adult family members, and a higher price if you want to invite the neighborhood. I further suggest this may be a great opportunity to invite former members back, by renewing their membership, they get a great price on crawfish. We should distribute the former membership list and invite them at the cost of renewing plus the low cost for members and 1 guest. I know two I will call. My guess we could pick up several great former members.
2. National Homebrewers day. We need to get all members involved in this event. It would be great if we again exceeded all Texas clubs in the gallons of beer brewed as we did in 2006. I hope every one with a system that is not in use will make them available. I further hope all will include those without systems if you need a partner. The site may not be fixed, but we will brew.
3. Johnny appointed me at the last meeting as "Competition Coordinator". I will talk more about trying to get more brewers entering competitions at the next meeting. What I will propose is that I select the competition that requires only two bottles. I have shipping boxes that were used to ship beer in. I will require a small price back for the box (1 entree), and members will split shipping cost.
4. Our club may be small, but we should investigate hosting a competition. I know Johnny & I have looked into this. It will require a commitment from the club, and a financial commitment from a few member (hopefully returned) to become qualified to judge.
