The April Meeting of the Golden Triangle Homebrewers was held April 10, 2008 at the home of Raymond Marlow in Vidor, Texas.
7:15 pm , Meeting called to order.
Announcements
Corey will be cooking at the YMBL cookoff which conflicts with National Homebrew Day. If Corey does not move his cook off to the Vidor Cookoff, Corey will brew on 5/4 so his batch will still be counted with the club total.
Southern Star Brewing had their grand opening and the pictures were posted.
April FART was at the Vortex. 5 members attended. Members would like to have future FARTs at places where food is served.
John Cotten announced Mean Gene will be playing in Port Arthur. Get with John for details.
Ronnie invited all members to the lawn mower races at Contrband Days.
Mark and John made a barleywine.
Ira is planning an organizational meeting for a club in Lake Charles.
Mark thanked everyone for the baby shower.

Ira still looking for a crawfish man. Members need to look for a back up. Anyone who can procure 220 pounds of crawfish, please post or inform an officer. There was considerable debate between Johnny Mac and Mark Kelly over whether to lower the amount of crawfish because of potentially lower attendance. The number was kept at 220.

National Homebrew Day. Back Up Plan is needed. Sach's is not a good location. After debate the flower shop was chosen. Please note the address 50 North Major Drive.
Beach Bash details are posted on the website. 2 campers will be available. Members can camp on the beach for free.
Ira was thanked for an outstanding Pig Roust.
Ira still needs a list of inventory of anyone who has club property.
New Business:
May FART will be at Corey's booth at the BBQ Cookoff.

Pub Crawl was tabled.
Calendars are available for the month.

One of the club kegs needs repairs. $13 was authorized out of petty cash.
Club Maibock is resting comfortably at Ricahrd's house.
