Saw an ad for a freezer on SET.com, said it gets cold, but wont freeze. And I think it is free. There are a few other great fridge deals on there. I think I am getting another one.

I have no place for a freezer yet. I am going to make a walk-in cooler like Jamil Zenasheff. Only one better. Here is what Jamil did. He basically made a small 2x4 framed building About 6'x 6' in size. He insulated the building with regular fiberglass insulation. He then added two layers inside of 2" thick foam board. To keep it cool he installed an 18,000 BTU air-conditioner. He measured the temp coming out at 9 degrees below freezing. The first time he used it, he froze his beer. He then installed a temp controller like we use on our lager boxes.
Here is my addition, to add a closets or two inside with a door each. In the bottom of the door I will install a small fan, which will be connected to a different temp controller. There will be a return vent in the top of the door, with a flapper on it. That way I can put a carboy or two in the closet and set the temp controller to say 65F or what ever I am trying to ferment at. The main walk in part will stay around 34F to store beer, grains, yeast, etc.
That is what I am thinking anyway.
Just Brew It! John Mc
