The March 2009 Meeting of the Golden Triangle Homebrewers was held 3/12/09 at the home of Bob McGill in Orange, Texas.
Meeting was called to order at 7:32 pm.
Minutes of the February meeting were read and amended. Motion Mark, Second Richard. Motion Passed.
Treasurer's Report
$50 to Bob for the club beer. Current Balance $841.40. 16 paid members. One new member Rick Squires. Motion Cotten, Second Raybo. Motion passed.
Announcements
High Gravity Competition entries due by 3/28. Corey and Mark will check on their Monster. Mikey's SamiClaus was considered but ruled out because it is in 22 oz bottles and we did not want to send 3.
Southern Star is having a pro-am. Details are on their website.
Ira was congratulated for a very successful chicken run. Ira is proposing another party with another local brewer. More details at the next meeting.
Old Business
Club Beer Brew In scheduled 4/18. We may need to combine this with National Homebrew Day because of a conflict with Bob's 50th high school reunion. We need to make a decision on the date and place at the April meeting.
Website update. An has been sick. John Cotten and Guy will try and have something up by next week.

Next FART is 4/3 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Port Arthur. NW corner of Hwy 365 and Hwy 69 in front of old Circuit City.
SpindleTop in Beaumont still having beer and food pairings Tuesday 5-7.
Crawfish Boil planned for 5/16. Dean's house is planned location however we are looking into the possibility of Dr. Rising's house. Menu is still TBD because of the high price of crawfish.
Motion was made to have minutes posted within 2 weeks of the meeting. Motion Mark, Second Cotten. Motion Passed.
We need to get a copy of the by-laws posted to determine if they need to be revised or updated.
The Club congratulated Corey and Guy for their performance at the Houston Rodeo cook off. Their next event will be the Vidor BBQ Festival.
