Hey Bob, are you a homebrewer? I am just curious about how and what you brew. I am always looking to learn more from any source I can. ;D

I tend to brew on the lighter side with Czech and German favorites - lagers, pilsners, kolsch. Since these are delicate beers, temperature control in summer is an issue.

Hey Bmt Bob, I like drinking lagers more than I like fermenting them. I do have a controller on a small refrigerator and I do make lagers. As far as waiting for winter to ferment a lager, I guess you have been waiting almost 2 years, because we did not really have a Winter this year. Haha I do enjoy a nice crisp pilsner.... Have you ben brewing long?
Later, John Mc

I first started brewing beer in 89 on the West Coast. My job requires me to travel alot, so I have not been doing much in the last 10 years. Now, I just drink I was thinking of getting back into it when I could which is how I discovered your site. I have to tell you that I appreciate the security check. You guys aren't some AlQueda sleeper cell are ya?

Hey Bmt Bob, Not too sure about the security check, unless you are talking about the board requiring email validation. I would disable it if I could. If you have not had much homebrew in the last 10 years, you should consider dropping by the meeting this Thursday. It is at 5865 Bicentennial Lane, Beaumont,TX 77706. It is at Mark Kelly's house our current President. We show up between 6:30 & 7:30 pm. The meeting will be in the back yard, just go through the gate on the side of the house. We will all be back there with the grill going and each with a small ice chest of beer and a beer glass. If you taste some of our member's home brew, I bet you get back into brewing. ;D
I guess with traveling it would be easier to ferment a lager. It will just sit there until you get back into town.

Bob: Most of our brewers brew in 3 tiered systems that produce 10 - 15 gallons. Frankley, our club has a lot of these systems (10-12) that go unused at brew-ins. Only a couple of us regularly brew in different (5 gallon) systems. I hope you will show up at our meeting next week. While I am commeded to another brewers for our upcoming brew-off, I would also be willing to share cost on a 5 gallon lager with you, help you brew, and provide the lagering at my house. Show up and we can talk. Maybe another member can offer to brew 10 gallons in their system, a lager (and split cost and lager).

Hey Bob From Beaumont. Mark has a pool so if you want to get wet... Normally we have very good meetings followed by drinking and washers and more food and lots of chat. Its just recently that the Competition gestapos raided our sanctuary. Its a great way to get back into homebrewing. There are lots of members and brewing systems. Normally a couple of guys get together and brew 10 gallons and split the batch. Makes it fun having someone help "stir the pot"
