The Golden Triangle Home Brewers Club had their monthly meeting at the home of Raymond Marlow in Vidor, Texas on March 11, 2010.
Meeting was called to order at 7:17 pm by President Eric Carcerano.
Announcements:
Ronnie will be racing in Lake Charles on March 20 and 21. See website for directions.
Three Guests: Lane Lostak, Craig Friberg, John Weihrich.
Total attendees: 21
February Minutes were read.
Motion to approve: Mark, 2nd Dean. Motion Passed.
Treasurer's Report: $922.06, 16 current paid members. Reimburse Bob $64.00 for club beer.
Motion to approve: Dean, 2nd Raybo. Motion Passed.
Old Business:
Club will celebrate National Home Brewers Day at Southern Star on May 1st and have Club Brew In for National Home Brewers Day on May 8 st Richard's House in Bridge City.
Ira will also host a Brew In at his shop in Lake Charles on May 8 for National Home Brewers Day.
Bob is having issues registering the Club with AHA. Anne at St. Arnold's may help.
Club will purchase 10 pounds of two row for any club member wishing to brew on National Home Brewers Day. YOU MUST REGISTER AT THE APRIL MEETING SO THE CLUB CAN GET A HEAD COUNT. Bob and Richard will crush the grain prior to the brew in.
New website still having a few issues. Hope to migrate to one website soon.
Crawfish Boil scheduled for June 12 at a location and with a menu to be determined. Motion Dean, 2nd Mark. Motion Passed.
New Business:
Major League Grill on Dowlen is open. They have a few taps open and indicated a willingness to try some home brew.
President Eric Carcerano issued an Executive Order to schedule the next FART on the 3rd Friday of the month at Major League Grill.
Bob recommended that he and Doug make a Strong Belgian Dubbel for Christmas. Motion Ira, 2nd Corey. Motion Passed.
There being no further business, Mark made a Motion to Close the Meeting at 7:54. Honorary 2nds.
