I think if we do it at High Island we have two options, hit the beach and go East away from civilization. The other option is at High Island turn West and just a few miles up the road is Meacoms lighted fishing pier. They have a rest room and few spots for RVs and they always have a few surfers there. We could fish on the lighted pier, swim, camp on the beach in tents and have a great time. Like Jason said there are hotels up the road also, for those that want a room to shower and sleep at. That would make my Queen happy, but I would rather stay on the pier all night fishing, then crash in my tent. I am thinking two vehicles here. It think it cost about $5 to fish, or something like that and $30 a day to park your RV. I really like the pier idea! Maybe the ladies go get a room and we party on the pier all night! Just tossing out ideas... It is now called Rocky's Pier and they rebuilt it after Humberto or what ever it was called. Maybe you can bringit up at the next meeting Jason. I love fishing on that pier. www.rockysrvparkandfishingpier.com/index.html

well last I was down there it was about in October maybe November anyway none of the peers there have been completely rebuilt the one your talking about goes out maybe 50 yards you can walk out in the water further than the peer and the R.V. park has no water or sewer hook-ups I think, they do have power though but last time we past it I am pretty sure it was closed there was a sign that said do not enter thats why I suggested a few of us go on a fishing trip and scope out some sites, at rollover the RV park is only 35.00 a night and they have water, sewer, and power and its still close enough for every body and you can drive down the beach to get to it ( no drunks on roads )ooooohhhh I got a great idea lets go out on a party boat this week just a bay trip after we could look at spots or just go fishing down there this time last year I caught the Gulf of Mexico black drum record 148.6 pounds they are running right now it is supposed to be nice all week lets doit heres this weeks fishing report for Boliver Trout are fair in Rollover Bay on tandem-rigged Little Fishies and DOA Shrimp. Black drum and redfish are fair to good on crabs and finger mullet in the Intracoastal.<<<<thats where I got my record catch
