I've been lurking here for a few weeks, and I'm planning to get brewing this fall.

I just had to pass on this craigslist find.

It's a 12 gallon steam jacketed tilting electric kettle. These retail for over $4k. It's probably broken or something but I bet it would be great for 10gal batches.

welcome, but I dont think anybody would be interested in that, problems I see is portability, and large energy usage, may be cheaper than propane I dont know but anyway you are welcome to come to the next meeting or club function just about every thing you may need to know about brewing or wine making can be answered by the club members and I bet you will really have fun also we get together atleast once a month talk beer, drink beer, and burn meat hope to see ya J.

Thanks for the invite!

I got to help a friend brew last Saturday and tasted malt extract and hops for the first time.

I'm slowly accruing equipment. I've got most of the big stuff like a burner, keggerator, and 6.5 gal carboy. I'm on the hunt for a decent pot and some corny kegs.

If my wife will let me out of the house I'll try to stop by.
