Gentlemen,
The Art of Beer is next Thursday, October 7. We are supposed to be signed on as a sponsor this year. Do we have what we need for our table? Also do we have a couple of people to man the table? Richard, myself, and a couple of other "patrons of the arts" have paid for tickets so we will be in attendance, but will not be working the table. Will the people who plan on getting the table together please post here that it is taken care of. Since this is a good project we can authorize some kind of reasonable budget for supplies under "public outreach." Please reply. The last I saw the club banner was at Richard's.

I have been in contact a little with Brandon East, didn't we discuss wanting a different spot this year or a bigger table or something if you would like to contact him brandoneast@gmail.com
I have hop pellets, grain, magazines, dried yeast. I will print some club brochures. I would like to some how have a fermenting beer there just got to figure exactly how to achieve that without screwing up a beer. who has the club banner? i may have it I will look. I do have a wine sitting in a carboy now I could bring that and I guess im manning the table but it would be nice to have another person to give me a break every once in awhile
does anyone have some loose leaf hops

Ok gentlemen, I spoke to Bob today and he is going to handle the table duties with Jason. Bob will make a small batch of beer that will be on display fermenting on the table for everyone to see. He and Jason can man the table and work the room as necessary so we can have this covered. I want to personally thank Bob for stepping up to the plate and taking on this duty, along with Jason who has always done good work in this regard. If there are any other issues with this function, please let me know.

Jason: It looks like I am your assistant Thursday. I will bring a one gallon jug with beer in high fermentation. Is there anything else I can bring? I will be in Beaumont Thursday afternoon and will likely show up 10 - 15 minutes early. With two of us, we should be able to answer questions on home brewing and about GTBC, and also be able to take part in the hospitality provided by the beer distributors, the brewerys, and the restaurants. See you Thursday. The last I saw the banner was at Richard's.

JASON: I contacted the mueseum and they have a wireless connection. They can't qaurentee it will work on an individual laptop, but it is free. They said that generally it works with most systems. I have a large screen laptop that I will bring. I will also bring some beer magazines and books, some leaf hops, a beer fermenting, and - maybe - some sweet wort to taste.

Richard has the giant National Homebrew Day sign but that beast is like 10X20. I'm sure they would not let us hang it. I do not know where the other sign is.
