I know we moved the date for the next brew-in, but there was nothing in the club minutes. What is the new date and location?

All; What I heard at the last meeting is that we would brew at Jason's (same as was agreed to at a previous meeting) unless there was a threat of bad weather, in which case we would go to Robert's. We never said that we would relocate the brew-in to Robert's (at least within my earshot). Can we get a headcount of how many folks are planning to brew next Saturday? Jason and I are planning to make an Alt beer. Mark

We may want to reconsider when to start the brew-in as they are predicting Friday night's low at 39 degrees. Maybe start at 0930 or 1000?

Richard, Eric, & I will be brewing an Oatmeal Porter. I expect we will get there ( Jason's) around 8:00 -8:30. We might hover around the mash tun to keep warm. I see no reason to delay the start, but late attendees should feal welcome. I know Doug is planning on brewing with a prospectic member. As usual, Doug may be the last to start and the first to leave.

Ok, guys, I'm going to go ahead and bring this up because I always end up having to be the bad guy, but I guess its part of my job.
I had planned on talking about this at the meeting, but after we got off on the membership issue I figured we didn't need any more arguments. The point that I wanted to make is that while we always appreciate people volunteering to host functions, some places don't have the space or the set up for brew-ins.
Jason, please don't take this personally because it is not intended to be that way, but some people, who obviously don't want to and have not posted on here, have expressed to me that you do not have the space or the set up for a brew-in. Thats why Robinette's house was offered as an alternative. Everyone appreciates the fact that you volunteer for things, but at some point, common sense should play a part in making some of these decisions.
So thats my two cents on this matter but I am just one person and the club can do whatever the club wants to do on Saturday. But its a matter that we need to consider for future events.

i dont see why you dont think I dont have room or a "set up for a brew in" I have a two car garrage and a large carport for us to brew under and another canopy if needed I have more cover than robinets and most others in the club, I brew here all the time, I dont see why this is even an issue good or bad weather, sounds to me people just dont want to drive to beaumont

I thought I was the only "bad guy". Jason's only problem will be parking for members and those with trailers. We may have to park further and walk, but I am looking forward to brewing.
