GOLDEN TRIANGLE HOME BREWERS ASSOCIATION 5/9/13 7:15 PM
Announcements:
GTHB on Big Brew Day made thirty-three gallons. GTB made forty-three gallons. GTB had six entries in NTNL AHA. One gold, two silvers, and three bronzes. The imperial stout made it to the best round.
Bishop’s Barrel will be released on 5/13. Luke’s will have on 5/15. Karbach beers are now in Beaumont.
Jason B is going to be a father. ( Cheers! )
Fem Fest is to be on 5/12 in Lake Charles from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm per Ira of GTB. The donations from this event will be donated to Save the Ta Ta’s.
Treasurer’s Report:
There are now twenty-four paid members
Minutes – Read and accepted
Old Business:
November 9th is the official Renaissance Festival date. As of now there are six people committed to go.
GTHB equipment & supplies are to be located by Mark.
GTHB shirts and glasses still need to be done. David H is going to locate another print shop. In the mean time David H will get with Erik to get the old images refreshed.
Bylaw revisions:
1) Dues to be raised to $25.00.
2) Examples of improper conduct to be defined.
3) Existing budget is to be changed from January to April or March.
4) Voting privileges are to be qualified by attendance of meetings by roll count.
5) The secretary is to have a copy of the bylaws both physical to bring to each meeting and digital to be kept for distribution or future revisions necessary.
6) A revision history of bylaws is to be kept.
The 5/18 functions menu is to be chose from items to grill. Chicken, pork loins, ribs, and brisket or any combination will be prepared by Mark & Jason. There are nine guests confirmed with an expectation of twenty or more to arrive.
New Business:
The bylaw revisions from old business were voted on and accepted this evening. Mark will clean up the rules and bylaws and convert them to a PDF file. The secretary will be given the copy later.
Three bottles of Mikey’s beers from past competitions has been located by Mark.
The next meeting will be at John C’s on 6/13.
8:01 pm motion to close meeting by Dean with toast of Kyle & Mikey’s beer. Motion accepted.
