Announcements:
8/9/13 Saints first game at Ira’s Place food and other stuff to be provided. Free beer provided from Ira’s hoard was suggested by many of GTHB & GTB members.
GTB to have a brew in at Bill’s house in Moss Bluff on 8/10/13
Ira’s store will now be open till 8:00 pm on the first Thursday of every month. Ira is considering a $20.00 competition for a People’s Choice Beer contest.
The Pint Jockey’s tasting will be at Del Pappas on 8/15/13.

There are 25 paid members

Old Business:
GTB Peoples Choice Competition will be held on 9/21/13 at Mac Farland’s Pub in Lake Charles. GTHB members should bring entries to Ira. GTHB-Mark and Dean brewed the club beer for this event. Fifteen gallons of a 70 Schilling beer was made. One keg is for the competition and the other two kegs are for the Christmas party. The last day for entries into this competition is 9/6/13.
Thomas is working on our new image for the shirts and glasses. The new logo is still in progress. The shirts will be $13.00 from GTB’s source.
Renaissance Festival head count was confirmed in the August meeting.
There are 15plus people committed so far. Money for the trip will need to be paid during September meeting. The estimated total charge is $60.00 per person which will include tickets into the festival, the bus ride, and maybe some beer.
New Business:
“Bob”
Mark brought two more empty kegs to Richards.
The legacy beer brewed in February has turned out well at 11%. Dean will bottle this during the upcoming winter months at his place.
There are about twelve bombers of Samichlaus beer left. A few members would like to discuss making more in December during the next meetings.
There are two kegs of the previous legacy brew left about ten gallons total.
The third quarter brew in will be on the 9/28/13 at Richards
This was Tom’s first meeting which he was with GTB.
This was Michael H’s. third meeting to attend. The motion for Michael to join was accepted.
The September meeting will be at Jason & Barb’s place in Old Town Beaumont. Please get a hold of Jason for directions. The upcoming meeting places to be set at this meeting .
The meetings are to be started at 7:00 pm promptly to enable more social time afterwards. Motion accepted.
