Announcements:
GTHB & GTB won the trophy at the Peoples Choice Award at Mac Farland’s on 9/21/13. The trophy from the competition will be engraved for the club/clubs. Mark will make arrangements to have the trophy engraved. A total of fifty medals awarded between both the clubs for submittals. The best in show an IPA was awarded to Andy T from GTB. Overall the members who attended the event complimented the food and beer selection. Mac Farland’s is already discussing having another event.
Ira is still doing first Thursday & Peoples Choice Award.
On November 11th The Renaissance Festival bus ride will pick up at the Walmart in Sulphur at 6:30 am. The bus will then stop in Beaumont at the Market Basket on Hwy 105 and 69 at 7:30 am. There are twenty-nine people committed with a max of thirty-five able to be able to ride comfortably. Matt & Lisa C to donate a five gallon keg of St. Arnold October fest for the ride amongst other donations from clubs and club members. If you have money for tickets it will need to be brought to Ira at either one of his brew shop locations.
In Austin on Rainy Street there is a new beer garden called the Banger Beer Garden. There are also several housed in this area that have been opened as beer houses and even a new brewery called Hops & Grain.
Galveston also has a new brewery.
The GTB meeting will be at 1416 Arkansas Street on 10/17/13. The owner of Bayou Rum is supposed to attend.
On 11/2/13 National Learn to Brew Day and a Club Brew in will be at Ira’s shop in Sulphur starting around 8:00-8:30 am.

The shirts and glass logo is still a work in progress by Thomas.
Erik G will host the November meeting at 2607 Fasske Street in Sulphur La 70663.
Bob M will be the host of the December meeting.
The Christmas party will be at Randall C’s place
New Business:
A motion for the president to be responsible for the brew in plans and check on attendance for the brew in was made by Brandon and seconded by Randall. The host will then decide if it is in their interest to continue with the brew in or at least have a better idea of how much preparations will be necessary to be ready for the function. The more communication we have the better it will be for everybody. Motion accepted.
A second motion proposed by Mike and seconded by Erik G is to limit the access of administrators to the Face Book account to three to four of the club officers to cut down on the amount of people that are not involved with the club and or the club’s affiliates in a positive manner. The Face Book account will also become a closed group in order to maintain a more private group. Motion accepted.
The club brew in will be on 11/2/13 at Ira’s brew shop in Sulphur on 817 Willow Avenue.
The November meeting is officer nomination time. Please attend.
This was Scott T’s third meeting. He is voted in to be a member.
This was Josh S’s first meeting.
The motion to close was made by Randall A toast with Mikey’s Samichlaus beer was done
