-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Doug will not be brewing with Richard, Eric and Me. Since we only need to get 15 gallons, I have revised the recipe (better hops utilization and likely better grain yield.
I found an article in BYO (Jan. 2003) that gave a recipie and a discussion on this beer.
Here is the recipe I have developed, considering we will try to brew for 15 gallons. I have multiplied the base grains by 4 for a 15 gallon batch and a slightly higher yield. I multiplied the dark grains by 3. I have multplied the hops by greater than 4.5 (lower utility since concentrated boil).
24 lbs British Pale 3.5 lbs 60 British Chrystal 3 oz Roasted Barley 21 AAU Fuggles hops 3 oz Bramling Cross hops
Wyeast 1084 or White Labs WL004 Yeast.
Sparge water adjusted to pH of 5.2, mash water to below pH of 6, salts added to mimmick Dublin water.
Single Mash-in at 152F (or step if needed).
Each brewer should bring 1 gallon of bottled water (distilled or spring) to be added before we oxygen sparge. I will bring the crushed grains, hoses, my ice water cooler, Iodopor, prepared yeast, and variou tools. Eric and Richard need to bring their system. I hope it is complete.

Jason: I would love the help. I will also offer to brew with you on my shoestring system that has won numerous awards for the beer. Do you like Guiness Stout (Not the export variety, but the draft available in the states)? We could brew a 5 gallon batch at my house on an early Sunday in December. I have the ingredients, and the yeast from our Red Ale would be perfect. I planned to brew it anyway, but would brew it with you and split the costs and the beer. We can talk more about this Saturday.

I picked up a bag of Marris Otter malt today. I also picked up a Wyeast Irish Ale yeast. I smacked the yeast tonight and will make a 3 qt starter for Saturday. I will crush the grains on Friday.
