Well Dave, Bob and I bottled the second 5 gal of Stout. Totally different from the first. This is one royal Imperial. Russian Geratol may be the name of the first 5 gal this 5 is definetely royalty. The club will look forward to the maturing of these two distinct stouts over the next several years. We racked the Bock, nice bock flavors, still clearing, should be ready in couple weeks for going to the keg and lagering. Gravity so far .02. And of course we tested the club Porter by Ray. Outstanding!!! Great body and the creamest head. Best Robust Porter around. mmmmmmm. We burned some meat and sampled another 5 to 6 beers. Life was good. Dave will fill a couple of groulers of the porter and a couple of each stout for the club to sample this thursday at the meeting. I have Corey's carboys and tops and will get them to you by the meeting at the latest. The club needs to purchase a couple of corks and vapor locks for reimbursement. Also I will order a plastic spigot and attachment for the kegs for future use. If the club maintains four beers on tap do we need to purchase a 5 gal Co2 bottle, regulator and attachment? Something to consider.
