The 1st Annual Saint Arnold One Pot Showdown
COOKING TEAMS WANTED!
January 27, 2008
Take one part chili chookoff, one part soup cookoff, one part gumbo cookoff, plenty of Saint Arnold, throw it into a kettle and simmer. Now you have The 1st Annual Saint Arnold One Pot Showdown.
The idea is simple. Organize a team or compete by yourself and get together your best recipe that features any Saint Arnold beer as an ingredient. You can make anything you dream up: a stew, chili, roast, chicken n' dumpligs, or potatoes etc. The catch is that it has to all be cooked in our parking lot the day of the event and everything has to be cooked in one large pot. At 1:00 PM folks that have purchased tickets will be allowed in to sample the entries and then at 2:00 PM judging will begin.
Here are some of the details:
When: Sunday, January 27, 2008. The parking lot opens at 9:00 AM for preparation.
Cost: $30 per team (this includes 4 tickets, additional tickets can be purchsed later)
Tickets: $15 dollars per person & $5 from every ticket sold will go to benefit Houston Meals on Wheels.
