The brewing attendance was small, the heat was not; but we had a good time. Doug and partner (me) brewed 10 gal of a 90 minute IPA (IG= 1.088), 38.5 lbs of grain. Dave and partner brewed 10 gal of Octoberfest, with a protien rest (something I have yet to try), that came out clean all the way to the end. Dave and partner brewed 10 gallons of beer. Ira brewed a partial mash lager. Many people stopped by. I apoligize, it takes me a while with names and I know I am leaving a lot of people out. Those that I do remember and remember their names were Mark (Transporter), Ray, Johnnie Mc, a couple from Belgium, Charles (who worked for me close to my retirement), many other club members who I apoligize I can't remember there names, and probably some who I do remember, but have left out. We started at 8:00 and finished about 4:00. The food was great; the beer was great; the companionship was great.
Thanks to Dave for providing the place and doing most of the cooking.

I should have said Mark (last year's President) brewed the Octoberfest, a beer that I remember being a club beer.

Thanks for the recap Bob. Bob and I had such a good time we forgot to add the yeast. Ha. I woke up Sunday morning, the wine was percolating nicely but not the 90 min IPA. My RAM did not recover any flashbacks of yeast. But not to worry, the yeast was found, added and all is well. I think all had an great time, thanks to all for coming by and the guests enjoyed the visit also. We discussed some ideas to raise at the next meeting, ie shirts, summer saturday beertasting and more. If anyone has the club logo digitals (.jpgs??) let me know, we need them for the shirts. I'm picking up blueberrys this Saturday. Found them in Silsbee for $10 a gal already picked. $8 a gal you pick in China. Still looking for juice. We may have to juice ourselves. Several of us are thinking of making a Blueberry wheat or belgian beer. Different ways to add, secondary or into the bottle. I may do some of both.
