Getting together with Dave Sat/Sun to rack the Octoberfest and bottle some beer for Johnny. The brewers for the Blueberry wheat/wizen/lager style are Dave me, Bob and Mark K. We will brew on mine or Marks system/house. The brewers for the dark/porter style are Corey, John C. Ira and Joe. Look’s like this team will use Corey’s system/house. Lot’s of ideas for a porter style, vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, capachino etc. When the dates are set, (shoot for sometime in August), we’ll post so members can attend each brewing. The idea is to finish it your way, yeast, fermentation temps, dry hopping, fruit and additives. The club will have eight different beers to sample and taste from two bases. Sounds like fun.
Don’t forget to bottle your beer soon for the Rondebrew. We need to drop them off by Sat June 30th. Any volunteers?? The club Bock (Corey/Mark) will be entered in the Keg category (for the shuttle). It was a great meeting, enjoyed seeing everyone. Don’t get much better than with Dean’s bread and Ira’s pork loin. Even the burps taste good.
We may be able to order some new shirts soon. John M is setting up a site for us and Dave has the original email (7 years ago??) with the .jpg's from Mike Whitney. WOW. Thanks John and Dave.
