I just talked with Mike Heniff, a member of the Foam Rangers (and a Nationally recognized home-brewer and judge), and the coordinator of the titled competition. For this competition in August, each club (I assume we are a AHA registered club) can enter one entree in catogory 19, which includes barley wines, Old Ales and one othe English beer I can't remember. I Know Dave has a good Barley wine, maybe someone else has an Old Ale or the third beer in this category. The entree is due by August 10 at DeFalgos. We can talk about this at the next meeting.

I checked & we are a registered club. The club http needs updating. I believe that Mark is now listed as the contact. We need to appoint a permanent contact that can update the site if we change URL. I am willing, since I am home most days, watch the site regularly and can change URL if necessary, and I have no desire to become a club officer.
The beer needed for the Houston Club Only competition is either a an OLD ALE, an EUROPEAN BARLEY WINE, or an AMERICAN BARLEY WINE. The club can talk about this single club entry at the next meeting. For one beer, I do not recommend the club spending any money to enter it, but an individual may want to take it to Houston. Mike Heniff may be responsive to receiving it at Lunar Rendesbrew.
