I am looking for my next batch ---- first was great --- 2nd one was ok --- after it sat for 4 months in a non air conditioned garage
wife wanted me to try a Chocolate Stout --- something similar to a Guiness --- with more chocolate flavor and less burnt flavor
any idea on the raw ingrediants i should look for?

Is this the same Mad Mike that brewed a Red ale with me early this year and lives in Orange? If you payed dues this year, you missed a great crawfish party; a great Christmas party is coming up. If you didn't pay dues, you are still invited to participate in meetings and brew-ins.
You want to brew an Irish stout? I have the grains, and will be racking from the secondary an Irish Red this week with great yeast for a stout. I have starters from a stout. I have all the equipment and grains for us to both leave with 2-1/2 gallons of beer. The time of the year is great for fermentation in the garage. You get a student discount.
Call me at 883-6329. If you can make the meeting, I may want a ride. I am having catarct sugery the day before the meeting. I plan on making the meeting, but it would save my wife the drive.

yup ... same mike it has been a long crazy year --- but i am still hear --- my dues should be up around march and due again whether or not a participate in all the meetings i would still like to participate in the club. i plan on making my dues again next time i can. i am going to Houston on Saturday to get what I need....need to do some research on what i need. I still have yeast cultures in my fridge i am going to use the same yeast that i did in my last 2 brews --- they are capped and in a cold cold fridge (probably about 40-45 degree's) i would love to come over and help out Bob. I Think I still have a beer leftover from my 2nd solo batch, it a smoothed out considerably and tastes pretty good

Looks like i might not be able to make the meeting
my daughter has piano lessons every Thursday at 6:30 - 7:00
i might be able to talk my wife into taking her once a month --- but can't do that to her on short notice
------ btw --- anyone know how long a yeast culture will stay good for in very low temperatures?
I have one from January ---- in a 22 oz bottle ---- 3/4 full of beer - 2 inch's pf yeast on the bottom --- it has been in the garage fridge -- very cold / but not freezing --- 40 degree's-ish
