Johnnie and Corry evidently feel they can sell them selfs as a party, without giving us any qualifications other than sex and muscle. Their political agenda is more remembrance of an election for a high school queen than for a place in a club of adults (or maybe an advertisement for a weight lost solution).
I personally support Mark for President because of his club contributions and experience, but I will list Johnny's credentials, since he chose a lower road.
Both Johnny and Corey have great credentials that they could have used, instead they chose advertising sex and muscle. Johnny & I joined the club 2004 (maybe a year earlier). In that same year I was nomonaited for Vice President, I declined and threaten to not pay next year's dues if the nomination was not with-drawn; I felt I did not have enough experience in the club.
Instead of sex and muscle, Johnny should have mentioned his good points. Johnny was probably the best secretary the club has had. He also started the club wed site and was a monitor until last year. My guess is that he has retained these privileges. John has won numerous competitive awards, including being a finalist in a Sam Adams contest that gave him $2000 for travel expenses to Denver for The Great American Beer Festival, the same award Doug & I got as a team. Johnny also has a Web Radio site that has had a number of great beer personalities on his site, I would guess he gives our club support on his site, an invitation to new members. He is also active in a Houston club, which gives our club mentions beyond our area.
Johnny also has warts, some of those saw them at the last crayfish boil. Only three club members know all the facts, Johnny and me are two of them.
Corey has assets he should have advertised rather than sex and muscle. He has a brewing system we all envy and he continues to bring great ides to the club. He also has contacts with St. Arnold's that have helped the club.
He also has minor worts (to me only), in threaten to bar me from the Web site, an action only the club President can do.
My suggestions, based on qualifications:
Mark for President
Johnny Mac for VP, although he does not seem interested in this position
Sec & Treasury, these people do most of the work, pick those you feel will do the best job.
