Doug came over yesterday with the info from Samuel Adams. We agreed to travel to Denver on Sept 28 (Thursday) and return on Sunday. Direct Airfare prices out of Houston are under $200. Doug suggested the downtown Holiday Inn. I verified today that this is likely the closest hotel to the convention center. The price for a room with a king bed is $123.32, but for another $9.01 per day you can get a $20.00 voucher good for breakfast. I understand Mark (and wife) will be going, and maybe Mike.
As you likely know Doug, John Mc, and I are traveling courtesy of Samuel Adams to Denver to the Great American Beer Festival Doug and I share $2000 while John has this much by himself. Doug has not called to determine what costs are included, but our guess will be only those that can be arranged through a travel agent. Airfare and rooms for Doug, me, and our wives will be under $1700. Maybe a 3 day car rental will use up much of what is left.
Frankly, I don't know how John is going to come close to spending $2000. Maybe he will have a limo drive us to the airport and back.
I doubt entree fees can be purchased by the travel agent, but an all secession ticket cost $145 (reduced to $125 for AHA members and only available at their web site).

Since I have a little extra to spend, I was thinking about flying out of Jefferson Co, Airport. Parking is free and I won't have to spend as much on Gasoline driving to Houston. What is the date, which Holiday Inn?

Holliday Inn Down Town Denver • Presidential Suites on the top floor featuring 620 square feet of sitting room, dining areas, wet bar and two TVs.
Hey Bob! Trust me, I can spend that $2000 ;D
I wonder if you can rent a Corvette?

Yes Bob. It is the Holiday Inn Central. Is that the one you are staying at?

Damn! I can also rent a Shelby GT
I am leaning toward the Shelby GT, but the Hummer sure would be fun too. Tough decisions....
