Well, here is the latest standing from the Lone Star Cirduit and we are ONE POINT away from tying for LAST PLACE! Here are the standings. I delivered entried for the Lunar Rendezbrew to DeFalcos for Bob, Mike & myself today. I never heard from Doug or anybody else. And of course we lost Dean as a very active member. Dean won 7 medals last year at the Lunar Rendezbrew. Hey guys you have until July 1st to deliver your entried to DeFalcos. It is not too late to help our club avoid last place in the state. Currents Club Standings:------------------------------------------ 72 Foam Rangers 40 The Cap and Hare Homebrew Club 26 Red River Brewers 24 North Texas Homebrewers Association 23 Bay Area Mashtronauts 18 Knights of the Brown Bottle 14 Ale-ians Society 14 Kuykendahl Gran Brewers 11 St. Paul Homebrewers Club 10 Central Florida Home Brewers 6 Shreveport Urban Diastatic Sparges 5 High Plains Draughters 5 Brew Bayou 5 Golden Triangle Homebrewers Club 4 Austin Zealots

I dont see how they only base a clubs worth on their competition performances. If that is the case, we may not ever climb very high. Hell we only get a dozen members to the meetings on a good day. I know I did not join to be a comp. brewer.

Corey: How else can they rank clubs? Obviously they don't consider how much we brewed at the AHB homebrewers day since we would win. You need to enter some of your beers, since this is the only way we move off the bottrm.

Hey Corey, that is just the way it is. The AHA does the same thing. The National Homebrew Club of the year is the club that has the most medals in the National Homebrew Competition. Same way with the national homebrewer of the year, they are the one who wins best of show. And Mike and I are in the running with beers being in the finals. We should know this weekend if we placed...... No way for best of show, maybe Mike. If Dean was brewing and entering, he got 7 medals at the lunar RendezBrew alone. That would push us up into 4th or 5th, just with Dean's one competition added. We brew damn good beer and we could possibly win it next year.

Corey, you notice on our BrewZine the title is not "Homebrewer of the Year" but "Competition Brewer of the Year"
I think that is more accurate. It is not an official club thing, because it has never been brought up at a meeting. It is just a list that is tallies up as the year goes on.
