Interested in seeing how your best homebrew stacks of in the world's largest competition? First round only requires one bottle (you need to save three more if you progress to finials & want to compete). Here are the particulars: Cost: $9:00 for AHA members, $14 for non-members. Registration: on-line required. Payment: On-line available. Our Regional: Breckenridge Brewery, Denver. More info at beertown.com.
Shipping: I have shipping boxes that I receive beers in which hold 12 bottles. Corey has identified a place that ships beer for competition. I shipped 12 bottles to Colorado earlier this year for a cost of about $15.00. For supplying the box, I expect my first entree free, and my second entree free before anyone else enters a second entree, if we fill the box. I would love to see 12 different brewers from our club enter. My guess is that Corey, Dean, Johnny and I will enter enough entrees to keep your shipping cost to at most $3.00 per entree.
If interested, read the info on beertown.com and respond back. The entrees need to arrive in Colorado between March 31 and April 11. I will bring my shipping box to the next meeting. Bring your entrees. Let's see if a member of our club can again win this most prestigious award.
