I'm sure most of you have heard by now but Phillip Kaufman from the KGB won the Big Brew Bash at St. Arnold this weekend. His strong scotch ale will be brewed as DR 8. Next year instead of concerning ourselves with the rondez brew or other competitions, I think we should concentrate on the big brew bash and see if we can come up with the next DR for St. Arnold.

I will probably always go to the Rendezbrew but I see no problem with the Big Brew Bash. We have always been known as a big beer club and I think we could take the KGB challenge. The SamiClause Clone tastes great and could well be a contender and an honor to Mickey. Dean's EKU is another excellent beer. A big Robust Porter would be my choice.

Not to be misunderstood, let me clarify. I have no problem attending the rondez brew individually or as a club and if Richard is able will probably do so this year. But as long as I have been in the club, we have emphasized the rondez brew. I realize we decided not to compete for the shuttle this year. My point is with a little bit of effort we could win the Big Brew Bash.
