Lunar Rendezbrew XVI

Does anyone remember how much the Rendezbrew was last year? This year its $20 in advance, $30 at the door. I don't recall it being that much last year, but even if it was, I think I'll pass. That just seems a little exorbitant for what we actually got. Add in the cost of a room and its really more than I think I'm willing to give for this function.

I really can't remember, but I think I paid about $20 at the door. I usually crash with my brother in law, who is also a homebrewer in Friendswood, so it is a little cheaper. To make it even more affordable, my wife refuses to be seen with me in public. Otherwise we have carpooled in the past, with one of the wives driving.

I was talking to another member today and he stated that the cost at the door last year was 20, but pre purchase tickets were 15. Last year the food was very lacking vs. previous years.

Advance was $15 and I believe the at the door price was $20, but could be wrong on that.

Fellow Texas Homebrewers!

I am happy to invite to you and your fellow homebrewers of the Foam Rangers
to the 16th annual Lunar Rendezbrew! So please share this with message
them!

The premier summer homebrew event of the Texas coast will be held Saturday
evening, August 8th, 2009 at the Bay Area Community Center in Seabrook,
Texas.

The contest phase of Lunar Rendezbrew is a BJCP sanctioned homebrew contest.
The contest is open to entries in all BJCP recognized categories plus
alternative beverages (Wines and Liqueurs).

Entries are due by July 11th, 2009.

The First and Second rounds will be held on July 18th, and July 25th,
respectively, at the Seabrook Community Center in Seabrook, Texas

Then on Saturday, August 8th, is Rendezbrew! Held at the Bay Area Community
Center, it is a family friendly event with the doors opening at 4pm. Your
ticket, purchased online for $20/adult or $8/6-21 and under 6 Free (or for
$30/$10 and Free at the door) will grant you admission to an evening of
beer, food, beer, games, beer, live music, and fun for everyone!
