During a recent gathering of like thinking individuals, a few suggestions were made. We had kicked around the idea of an Astros game or maybe a Texans game. How about a Rice football game? There are many definite advantages. Saturday afternoon time slot, super cheap tickets, and walking distance to the village. We could combine the game and a pub crawl for pretty much the cost of the bus ride. Theres also this place blogs.chron.com/beertx/2009/05/good_beer_on_tap_in_downtown_s_1.html which looks like it might be a good Saturday getaway. If anyone knows a reputable bus place that we could go with, we might be able to do these trips this fall.

Definiely, heading down the village is a plus, with or without the game. As a club, we have done the gingerman's before. It has been a while back (9 years) and we need to go back. I will tell you how the Shulenburg place is after I go there this summer. Looks great. Can't believe I never heard of it before.

Just went through the beer list. Impressive, but not as impressive as the Falling Rock in Denver. I did not see Oak aged salvation anywhere on the list. Well worth it at 6 dollar for a half a pint.

Deb wants me to go. Ann and Tony emailed me and told me they were going. You remember them, they hung around us for a while. I just hadn't decided yet.
