See link below, it looks like durations longer than 5 hours puts us in the $1000 range, not including fuel surcharge and driver tip. A day is a 10 hour rental. Note not all allow alcohol. Some specifics,
Sun Travel/Pate's
55 pass - $995
29 pass - $895
3pm to midnight
Leaseall Rental
15 pass rental van (need to find a driver)
Rental ~$200 (gas, extra miles & insurance)
Driver say $15/hr or another $150
Total ~$350 for 13
Too Hip Limo
18 pass Hummer $200/hr, >$2000
14 pass Excursion $150/hr, >$1500
Durham School Bus
47 pass, no restroom
$60/hr, from time of leaving Fannett to return
Estimate 10.5 hours, $850
Party Bus
15 pass, no restroom
He wanted $100/hr for bus and $15/hr for driver
$1150
Might be able to negotiate, but still would likely be in the $750 range

I asked Debbie if she wanted to drive the van, and I am still waiting for her to stop laughing. I am sure we could find someone to drive us though. Then I got to thinking about cost per person. Here is the breakdown.
The 29 passenger sunbus at $895 equal to $31 per person.
The 55 Sunbus will be about $19/person.
The 15 passenger van with driver will be about $27 / person.
