The Lone Star Circuit kicks off this month with it's first competition
- The Bluebonnet Brew-Off. Those of you unfamiliar with the Loan Star
Circuit, it is a series of 8 homebrew competitions around the state of
Texas. The mission of the Lone Star Circuit is to actively promote and
support the homebrew clubs, contests, and homebrewers of Texas.
Competition Points / Awards
The following awards will be awarded at the end of the Dixie Cup
Competition for the accumulation of points for the competition year:
Lone Star Homebrewer of the Year for the single homebrewer that earns
the most total points for the competitions
Lone Star Homebrew Team of the Year for the homebrew team that earns
the most total points for the competitions
Lone Star Homebrew Club of the Year for the homebrew club that earns
the most total points for the competitions
Competitions include the following:
Bluebonnet Brew-off - March
Celtic Brew-off - May
Big Batch Brew Bash - June
Lunar Rendezbrew - July
Alamo City Cerveza Fest - August
Limbo Challenge - August
Cactus Challenge - September
Dixie Cup - October

Bluebonnet Brew-Off

Welcome to the 24th Bluebonnet Brew-off.
This years event will be held at the Westin DFW North, located at W.
John Carpenter Freeway, in Irving TX. Our room rate for the event is
$92.00 per night, for reservations call 888–627-8617 and ask for the
Bluebonnet Brew-off rate.
We are pleased to announce our keynote speaker for the 2010 Bluebonnet
will be Shaun O'Sullivan of 21st Amendment Brewery in San Francisco,
California.
The 2010 Bluebonnet Brewoff will again have our famous Pub Crawl with
participants driven by bus to pubs of the route directors choice. We
expect everyone will have a great time and enjoy the Pub Crawl outing.
Our annual Room Crawl will again show the excitement each club can
bring with their own style.
I look forward to meeting each of you, and hope everyone has a great
time at the 2010 Bluebonnet Brew-off.

Online entry begins January 17th and will end on February 25th.
Entries are $7 each. Judging categories and special entry information
can be found on the website. www.bluebonnetbrewoff.com
SPECIAL NOTE: Jeff "Stumpy" Oberlin, of the Bay Area Mastronauts, will
be driving entries from the Houston area to Dallas. We will be sending
out more detailed information later but the general plan is to have
your entries at DeFalco's by the Wednesday Feb. 24th. You will still
be responsible for packaging and labeling your entries but Stumpy's
generosity will save you the postage.
