I am looking for a recipe that I could use cereal from the stores. I was told some people in the club have attempted this and I would like the recipe if you don't mind sharing it.
Thanks, Donnie

Its a breakfast beer. Richard, Bob and I made it at the brew in last fall. It was very tasty. Talk to Bob. He has the recipe.

I agree. Bob had a tasty lighter breakfast beer made out of cereal at one time.

Here is my recipe for a Breakfast beer I brewed in 2006 that was enjoyed by the club.
7.3 lbs American 2-row 1 lb Bob's Red Mill 5 grain + Flaxseed ( Oats, wheat, rye, barley, triticle and flaxseed. Available at most grocerias in 2006. .75 lbs cherrios .75 lbs cerial corn flakes ,5 lbs rice hulls (to aid in lautering. 0.8 oz Amarillos whole hops (9.1% AA)
Mash in Red Mill grain and 1 lb barley with 1 gallon water to a temperature of 130 F and heat to 160F. Hold for 30 minutes. Heat to boiling and boil for 30 minutes, stir regularly
Mash in remaining grains, I did not record temp, but likely around 150F
Add boiling portion to give 154F for 15 minutes
Remove 1 galllon, heavy on grains, and heat to boiling.
Add decoction back to temp of about 155
Rest for 10 min
Continue heating decoction and add for a temperature of about 160F
Rest for 15 minutes and transfer to lauter tun, recycle and sparge.
Boil for 15 min and add hops. Boil with hops for 1 hr, wit whirlflock and cooling coils added in the last 15 minutes. I racked on top of another beers yeast, My initial gravity was 1.052 for 5,25 gallons. I racked 5 gallons to a secondary 8 days later with a gravity of 1.013 (4.9% alcohol). I finished the fermentation cool before bottling.
