Yesterday was a great day for brewing, made better by the efforts of our hosts, Richard and Judy. Eric showed of with breakfast burritos. Some good meat was comsumed. 11 members helped in the brewing: Dean, Corey, John, Jason, Ray, Bill, Donney, Eric, Richard, Doug and me. I entered our results with AHA and added Judy and Eric's wife for their moral support, particularly after seeing Eric's wife mowing their yard as I left late after enjoying beer and conversation with Richard and Eric. Doug was again the last one to complete brewing.

It was a good day to make beer.
We also made some executive decisions. We had a bag of maris otter left over that we are going to use to make 2 batches of Old Ale. One will be a club beer that we may very well keep to drink for Christmas 2011, or even make a club monster to drink way later on down the road.
The other batch we can split into as many as 4 or 5 entries for next year's (2011) Big Brew Beer Bash. Richard and I will take one entry. Bob will either share an entry will Richard and I or take one himself. John Cotton and Mark will probably take an entry and hopefully Raybo and will take an entry.
Corey, we are not counting you out, we just did not know if you had time or if your status as a "commercial brewer" disqualifies you.
If anyone else is interested in signing on for this duty, let us know or think about it and let your intentions be known at the meeting. Realize that to age a beer like this takes some work.
We are going to need two systems because to brew this much of a beer this big takes about 50 pounds of grain.
Mark, as soon as you get back in US airspace let us know so we can get your input on a schedule.
